Drama Club - 2025

Pacific Sky PTA is proud to host our fourth annual after school drama club with a production of Roald Dahl's "Wonka Jr" 

produced by Junior Actors Company

Drama club registration will open on Friday, 8/15/25 at 12:00pm.   Registration will open at:  pacificskypta.membershiptoolkit.com 

To enable a smooth registration experience, we recommending having all family details pre-filled in membership toolkit prior to Drama Club registration opening.  Once logged into membership toolkit the "Drama Club 2025" form will appear at Noon on 8/15.  Complete all required information and add the appropriate registration to your cart for the grade level of your child.  

If all spots are filled, then add a wait list option to your cart and you will be placed on the wait list in the order you submitted the form.  (Note: priority will be given to any 6th graders on the waitlist for the 3rd to 6th grade age bracket as this is the last year they can participate)

We look forward to seeing our Pacific Sky Pilot families at our performances on December 12th at 6pm and December 13th at 1pm and 5pm.  Information about tickets coming soon! 

• All ages will have professional instruction, direction, vocal coaching and choreography by professional staff from Junior Actors Company – our production partner from 2023 for Aladdin Jr and Alice in Wonderland Jr. 

• Building on the success of our last year’s success in the past 2 years and parent feedback, the Pacific Sky PTA is continuing to use Junior Actors Company to produce and direct our drama club production.  Junior Actors Company is also the preferred partner across most DMUSD schools.

• Drama club includes professional costumes and set design.

• All production fees, coaching, sets, costumes and cast t-shirt included in program registration fees and all ticket sales will go toward overall cost of program. 

• This is not a fundraising program, the goal of the Pacific Sky PTA is to provide Pacific Sky students an opportunity to engage in robust performing arts enrichment program. 

• All parents of participating students are required to volunteer during tech week and performances - no other parent participation will be required during the rehearsal season.   Monday, 12/8 will be set load in day and tear down will be after the final show on Saturday, 12/13.

Program Details

3rd through 6th grade: 

• Begins September 9th concluding with performances 12/13 & 12/14

• New this year:  Auditions are one day only on Tuesday, September 9th from 2:30 to 5:30pm.  Casting will be annouced in the days after auditions and rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, 9/16. 

• Meets every Tuesday and Thursday 2:30 to 4:30pm; note conference week, 11/18 & 11/20, will be 12:30 to 2:30 (minimum day weeks); no drama club week of Thanksgiving.  Committing to drama club is a commitment to stay through the entire duration of every rehearsal (with the exception of illness).

• Dress rehearsal week will meet Tuesday 12/9 (2:30-5:30), Wednesday, 12/10 (12:30-3:30), and Thursday, 12/11 2:30 – 5:30.  All tech week sessions are required for all ages. 

• Performances will be Friday, 12/12 at 6pm and Saturday 12/13 at 1pm and 5pm – must commit to all performances and parents of participating students support/volunteers will be needed during performance week.

• Everyone registered will participate, those interested in featured or lead roles may audition during the first meeting on 9/9/25.  Audition details and materials will be shared once registered.  If there is an unforseen circumstance in which a student misses auditions, please contact dramaclubchair@pacificskypta.org as soon as possible - this may result in ensemble role or if possible a video audition may be considered. Every student registered and paid will have active roles in the cast regardless of prior experience. 

•  $425 for 13 week enrichment program 

  • • Total of 26, 2 hour sessions, plus 3 tech week 3 hour sessions (approximately $6.97/hr)

    • Limited to 35 actors in this age group (waitlist will be collected)

    • Cast T-shirt included in registration fee

• Registration link will open Wednesday, 8/15 at 12pm

  • • You must be registered in membership toolkit (PTA membership recommended, but not required); sign in to membership toolkit

    • Navigate to "my account" and "my forms" where you will be able to register each child for the appropriate age group for drama club.  Participation fees are due at time of registration to guarantee your student's place. 

    • If all paid spots are full, then please use the "waitlist" option as this will hold your place in line should any spots in the cast open up.

1st  – 2nd grades:

• Begins September 23th concluding with performances 12/12 & 12/13/25

• Meets every Tuesday 2:30 to 4:30pm except 11/18 will be 12:30 to 2:30 (minimum day weeks); no drama club meeting week of Thanksgiving

  • • Note: 1st-2nd grade age groups will be done rehearsing each Tuesday by 3:30pm and can be picked up then if desired and ASP kids will be escorted to ASP (does not apply to tech week).  The final hour they will play theater games or observe the older cast members to gain insight and exposure to the entire play. 

• Dress rehearsal/tech week will meet Tuesday 12/9 (2:30-5:30), Wednesday, 12/10 (12:30-3:30), and Thursday, 12/11 2:30 – 5:30.  All tech week sessions are required for all ages. 

• Performances will be Friday, 12/12 at 6pm and Saturday 12/13 at 1pm and 5pm – must commit to all performances and parents of participating students support/volunteers will be needed during performance week.

• Everyone will participate.  First and second grade age group will be part of ensemble cast with no individual speaking parts or auditions required. 

•  $275 for 11 week program

  • • Total of 11, 2 hours sessions, plus 3 tech week 3 hour sessions (approximately $8.87/hr)

    •  Limited to 12 actors in this age group (waitlist will be collected)

Confirmation of drama club registration will be sent via email to all confirmed participants. Further instructions on audition for 3rd through 6th grade students will be sent by Junior Actors Company.
