The Team

Chelsea Moore, Principal, cmoore@dmusd.org

Mrs. Chelsea Moore is thrilled to continue serving as Pacific Sky’s Principal. Mrs. Moore brings with her a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for empowering students. Mrs. Moore has been an integral part of the DMUSD family since 2014, serving in various roles such as teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Her dedication to fostering a positive learning environment, where students can discover their strengths and find purpose, is at the heart of her educational mission.

Ritu Singla, President, president@pacificskypta.org

I am thrilled to serve as President of Pacific Sky PTA for the 2nd term. My personal connection to the DMUSD runs deep as my son went to Sycamore Ridge from K-6; he is a freshman in UCSD now. My daughter embarked on her educational journey here and is now in 2nd grade. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and passionate team. I invite every parent to join us on this incredible journey as we build a stronger, more vibrant future for Pacific Sky.

Shweta Sharma, Vice President, vp@pacificskypta.org

I have a Pacific Sky graduate and an eager kindergartener starting this school year. By virtue of my role as a parent and my educational background, I recognize parent-teacher connection sets the foundation for child’s success. I see value in being part of my child’s learning and school experience, PTA is the platform for that. As Family Engagement Chair (2022-2023 school year), I collaboratively led various school events including an Ice-Cream Social, International Night, Drama Club etc. These events foster community spirit and enhance school experience for students. This school year, I am excited to contribute as PTA Vice-President. Professionally, I have a doctorate in science, and lead an operations team for a local biotech.

Closing with my favorite quote, “Education is not the filling of a pail but lighting of a fire – WB Yeats”.

Scott Ankers, Secretary, secretary@pacificskypta.org

Our family is very excited to continue our nine year Pacific Sky journey with our oldest daughter entering 1st grade for the ’24-’25 school year and our youngest daughter starting in ’25. We’re transplants to sunny San Diego from Brooklyn, NY and eager to be active participants in our new local community! Currently, I serve as president of the Elms & Ivy HOA, and I look forward to the additional opportunity to serve within Pac Sky. We love talking about all things travel, food and local San Diego teams (let's go Mojo!) / University of Virginia sports, so don’t hesitate to say hello!

Jessie Grant-Sljiver, Treasurer, treasurer@pacificskypta.org

I am so excited to continue as the treasurer in Pacific Sky PTA! I have three children (Alexandra - middle school; Santiago - 5th grade; Sebastian - Kindergarten). I first moved to San Diego in 2008 to work at Cardinal Health and currently work at Illumina, Inc. I am an Operational Excellence professional and use my experience in engineering, operations, supply chain and management to lead process improvement projects. Most weekends at our local parks, the beach, community pool, or my personal favorite, sailing in San Diego Bay!

Jessica Bazick, Financial Reviewer, auditor@pacificskypta.org

I have two children at Pacific Sky. My son will start 4th grade and my daughter will start 2nd grade this year. We are so excited for the school year. In the past, I have served on the Ashley Falls PTA and as room parent for my kids' classes. I am currently an internal medicine physician at UC San Diego Health, and I am eager to contribute my experiences to the PTA for the third year.

Katie Wilson, Parliamentarian, parliamentarian@pacificskypta.org

Our family loves our beautiful school! My daughter will be in 5th grade during the 2024-25 school year and my son will start 1st grade. Prior to Pacific Sky opening I was on the PTA board of Sycamore Ridge.  More recently, I had the pleasure of helping start the PTA at Pacific Sky and serving as the PTA VP and room parent liaison and drama club chair. In addition to being active in school, I lead a global Employee Relations team at a Fortune 100 company and have a masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I am looking forward to working again with our PTA in my new role and Pacific Sky staff to make it a great school year!

I'm excited to serve in the PTA again this year. My oldest daughter will be starting 5th grade and her brother and sister will be starting 1st grade. I was a room parent last year and look forward to helping in all three classes next year! I lead a strategic sourcing team for a media company headquartered on the East Coast where I'm originally from. I'm grateful to be working with this amazing team again to support events for our Pacific Sky community!

Sonia Khan, Hospitality Chair, hospitalitychair@pacificskypta.org

As a proud mother of twins in 5th grade, I understand the importance of giving the children a safe and happy environment. I have always been a people’s person and my passion has always been to help others which makes PTA a good fit for me. I will be joining the Board as the membership chair. Last year I volunteered at all the school activities, the Math Club, and in the classrooms and I look forward to more opportunities. I enjoy being in the school and spending time with all the lovely kids. Feel extremely lucky to work with such an amazing team and being a part of such an extraordinary school.
